At the invitation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Mr. Sardar Al Bebany, President of Toyota Iraq, and Mr. Hiroshi Suzuki, Chief Representative of the JICA Iraq Office, visited one of the Egyptian Japanese Schools implementing the “Tokkatsu” holistic education approach.
The delegation conducted a field tour in the presence of Professor Hiroshi Sugita, expert and supervisor of the Japanese education experience in Egypt, observing student activities that focus on character-building and instilling discipline and teamwork among children. The delegation praised the success of this educational model, which has integrated life skills into the school curriculum since 2017, and discussed ways to draw on this pioneering experience.
At the tail end of the tour, the delegation also visited the Grand Egyptian Museum, where they explored its sections and collections, reflecting the depth of human civilization and its history.
