As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, Toyota Iraq organized a health initiative on April 28, 2026, bringing together its employees and several of its partners at the Japanese Town headquarters in Baghdad. The company launched a blood donation campaign in cooperation with Al-Karkh Health Directorate and the Blood Bank, in support of the healthcare sector’s ongoing need for blood supplies. Aligning with the company's commitment to supporting community initiatives linked to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3, which focuses on Good Health and Well-being.
The campaign was carried out under a well-organized process at the company’s headquarters. Participants were welcomed through a clear workflow that included registration, necessary medical examinations, and the completion of the donation process under the supervision of specialized healthcare staff. Donors’ health conditions were also monitored after donation to ensure a safe and comfortable experience from arrival until the completion of the process.
The initiative saw participation from Toyota Iraq employees alongside representatives from several partner companies, including SAS, Lexus, Hino, Saradr Auto, and Hayakl. The participation of these companies expanded the campaign’s impact beyond the company itself, transforming it into a collective humanitarian effort that united different organizations around a meaningful healthcare need in cooperation with the relevant health authorities.
Under the slogan “A drop from you... a lifetime for another”, the campaign successfully collected 45 units of blood across different blood types. This contribution provides practical support to blood banks in meeting urgent medical needs, where in many cases, the availability of a single blood unit at the right time can make a critical difference in a patient’s treatment journey.
Through this campaign, Toyota Iraq reaffirms that corporate social responsibility goes beyond simply launching initiatives. It is reflected in the ability to identify real community needs, organize meaningful responses with commitment and care, and transform the participation of individuals and organizations into measurable impact that positively affects people’s lives.
