Toyota Iraq has announced a new strategic step within its sustainable expansion in Erbil through the opening of a customs area, alongside the expansion of its Pre-Delivery Inspection center (PDI) and the establishment of the central spare parts depot, as part of its long-term vision to enhance operational efficiency, develop after-sales services, and elevate the customer experience in Iraq. This expansion represents a strategic investment in the automotive sector's infrastructure by improving the flow of logistical operations, accelerating vehicle import and handling procedures, and strengthening supply chain efficiency to keep pace with the growth of the Iraqi market and confirm Toyota Iraq's commitment to developing a more efficient and sustainable service system.
The new projects included the expansion of the Pre-Delivery Inspection center, which ensures vehicle compliance with Toyota's approved international quality standards prior to customer delivery. This expansion contributed to raising the center's operational capacity by 166.7%, enhancing vehicle preparation speed and delivery efficiency.
Toyota Iraq also unveiled the central spare parts depot, which represents an important development in inventory management and the distribution of genuine spare parts market-wide. This development helped increase the holding capacity of spare parts lines by 225.2%, supporting the after-sales service network and reducing wait times for maintenance and repair operations.
This development covers a total area of 250,000 square meters, reflecting the scale of investment and Toyota Iraq's long-term confidence in the growth of the Iraqi market, as well as its role in supporting a more advanced, efficient, and sustainable automotive sector.
Toyota Iraq's future vision in Erbil expands to include the concept of "Erbil Motor City" as a long-term vision for a specialized destination that combines driving experiences, the promotion of traffic safety culture, and the development of training and interactive spaces related to the automotive sector and motorsport, including performance driving experiences, vehicle control training, and track driving activities within a regulated and safe environment.
